Always-on WhatsApp infrastructure for products that can’t afford a dropped session.
Mossmoon is a developer-facing platform that lets agencies, multi-tenant SaaS, and AI-driven products connect WhatsApp to their stack without going through Meta’s WhatsApp Business API. One QR scan per line, always-on connection, flat $15 per active line per month. Built so the WhatsApp leg of your product behaves like a backend resource your code can rely on, not a browser tab somebody has to babysit.
The two existing paths for WhatsApp programmatic access have real shapes. Most products need a third one.
Meta WhatsApp Business API.
Engineered for one verified business sending high-volume transactional broadcasts to a large recipient list. Real product for that workload. The wrong tool when every customer brings their own WhatsApp number: business verification per number, template pre-approval, 24-hour customer service window, per-conversation pricing across country and category. Days-to-weeks per customer onboarded.
Self-managed WhatsApp Web on a browser tab.
Cheap, fast, structurally fragile. Browser tabs sleep. Sessions drop. Reconnects require manual intervention. The fragility is invisible until the first customer misses a message and complains.
Always-on connection as production infrastructure.
A WhatsApp connection that runs continuously in managed infrastructure, monitors its own health, and stays online so every inbound message reaches your webhook in real time. Multi-tenant by design: one POST provisions a line, one QR scan onboards a customer, one webhook receives everything. No Meta Business API in the loop. Flat per-line pricing, regardless of message volume.
Five principles the product is built around.
Infrastructure, not a packaged UI
We don't ship a chatbot builder, broadcast scheduler, catalog UI, or shared inbox. We ship a clean REST API plus signed webhooks. The product surface that matters for builders is the contract, not the dashboard.
Flat pricing, no variable layer
Per-message and per-conversation pricing is hostile to product builders who can't predict their unit economics. Flat per active line, regardless of volume, country, or category, makes the math obvious and the resale math clean.
EU compute by default
Mossmoon runs on EU infrastructure. Message bodies don't replicate outside the EU by default. GDPR data-processing language available for compliance reviews. The default chosen for the markets where WhatsApp is the dominant channel.
Anti-abuse over feature checkboxes
Mass-broadcast tooling and cold-blast patterns are exactly what gets WhatsApp accounts banned. We rate-limit aggressively, throttle bursts, and refuse known abuse patterns. Long-term account health matters more than checking the broadcast-feature box.
Customer's identity, not ours
End-customers talking to your customer's WhatsApp number should see your customer's normal WhatsApp identity. Not a 'verified business profile' badge. Not a chatbot avatar. The structural advantage of the personal-API path is that the line stays human-feeling.
Honest comparisons
Business API is the right tool for mass broadcast. SMS is the right tool for US transactional. SleekFlow is the right tool if you need the multi-channel inbox. We publish honest comparisons and tell prospects when something else fits their workload better.
The infrastructure behind the always-on guarantee.
EU-hosted WhatsApp connection layer, EU-hosted database, EU-hosted webhook delivery.
Pre-key replenishment, identity-key rotation detection, automatic re-handshake.
HMAC-SHA256 signatures on every event. Retries with exponential backoff up to 24 hours.
